NEW DELHI, Oct 24: Zuari Agro Chemicals today said operations of its ammonia and urea plants in Goa have been halted because of a minor leakage in gas compressor.
The company further said that the leakage is being repaired and normalcy is expected to be restored soon.
“… The operations of ammonia and urea plants of the company have been shutdown due to minor leak in syn gas compressor, which is being repaired and normalcy is expected to be restored soon,” Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd (ZACL) said in a regulatory filing.
The company expects to resume operations next week, a senior official said.
The company has an annual installed capacity of 10,59,300 tonnes of fertiliser in Goa.
The company has a manufacturing facility in Goa, with four plants for urea, DAP and NPK-based fertilizers. All products are marketed under Jai Kisaan brand. (PTI)
