Apni Party takes out roadshow in Mendhar

POONCH, May 17: An impressive roadshow was today taken out at Mendhar in Poonch district by the leaders of the Apni Party during an election campaign in support of Party’s candidate for Rajouri-Anantnag Parliamentary seat, Zafar Iqbal Manhas.
A large number of people and party workers, under the leadership Provincial president Jammu of the Party, and former Minister, Manjit Singh participated in the roadshow in Mendhar town.
While shouting slogans in support of the Party candidate, the roadshow was taken out by the Party leaders and workers, consisting of hundreds of vehicles – cars and motorbikes that passed through various villages after it started from the Mendhar town.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh asked the people to give a chance to the Party candidate Zafar Iqbal Manhas to represent them from the Rajouri- Anantnag Parliamentary seat.
“The people of Pir Panjal always remained neglected and their demands of development and employment were not fulfilled although they exercised their vote to elect the Member of Parliament of their choice in the past,” he added.
He further said that Zafar Manhas is a local candidate, who is familiar with the difficulties faced by the people in the region. “Manhas has committed to leave no stone unturned to get a separate Parliamentary seat so that the people’s aspirations can be addressed by their own Member of Parliament,” he added.
Singh said that the Party has focused on empowering the people of Rajouri and Poonch and to strengthen the voices supporting equitable development, and employment. He said if Manhas is elected to the Lok Sabha, the Party would work to get Hill Development Council for the Rajouri-Poonch, exploration of new sites for tourism to boost the local economy and generate employment, and construction of two tunnels i.e., Dera Gali and Peer Ki Gali on Mughal Road.
Senior leaders Faqir Nath, Riaz Aatish, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Ajaz Kazmi, Vipul Bali, and Hans Raj Dogra also spoke on the occasion. The roadshow was organized by Youth Wing vice president and spokesperson of the Party, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan.
