Zen collides head-on with Sumo; 1 killed, 3 injured

RAMBAN, May 15: One person was killed and three others sustained injuries in a head on collision between two vehicles at Rattan Bas, Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, a Zen car bearing registration number JK02AR-9704 was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu when it collided head-on with a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK14-7843 at Rattan Bas, Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into serious injuries to four persons.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where doctors declared Pawan Kumar (50), son of DN Katha of Shiv Nagar Jammu as brought dead, while the condition of the injured was stated to be out of danger, when last reports came in.
The injured have been identified as Rajinder Paul, son of Maharaj Krishan of Subash Nagar, Jammu, Avtar Krishan, son of Ram Chand of Shiv Nagar, Jammu and Mohammad Ali, son of Abdul Aziz of Khari Lubladha.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered in this regard at concerned police station and investigation started.
