RAJOURI, Aug 23: The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Dr Shahid Iqbal has placed under suspension Zonal Education Officer Rajouri, holding additional charge of Zonal Education Planning Officer Rajouri and six other officials for their unauthorised absence from duty.
A team headed by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, AS Chib on the direcrtions of DC Rajouri, paid surprise visit to the office of Zonal Education Officer Rajouri and District Office of Youth Services and Sports Officer, Rajouri in the morning hours and found seven officials absent from duty.
The employees found absent in Zonal Education Office Rajouri include ZEO/ ZEPO Rajouri Abdul Rashid, Head Assistant Mohd Iqbal, Senior Assistant Ashok Kumar, Junior Assistant Shokat Hussain, Physical Education Teacher- Zafar Iqbal, Data Entry Operator Davinder Kumar and peon Ghulam Mohd.
Taking serious note of the report from ADC Rajouri, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Dr Shahid placed under suspension all the above employees and also ordered an inquiry into their unauthorised absence whereas their salaries have also been with held.
