Zinc weakens on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, May 23:  In restricted activity, zinc prices eased by Re 1 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today due to slackened demand from consuming industries amid a weak global trend.
However, other base metals traded in a narrow range in limited deals and settled at last levels.
Traders said sluggish demand from consuming industries and a reports of a weakening global trend mainly led to decline in zinc prices.
In the national capital, zinc ingot shed Re 1 at Rs 110-116 per kg.

Zinc ingot Rs 110-116, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 1,025-1,030, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 405, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 104, Lead imported Rs 105, Aluminium ingots Rs 154, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 155, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 157 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 154. (PTI)
