ZSW Officer visits Sai Kalan

JAMMU, Sept 25: Under the aegis of Brig RS Langeh, VSM, Director Sainik Welfare Department, Zila Sainik Welfare (ZSW) Officer, Col (retd) JDS Kotwal, along with his office staff visited Sai Kalan in tehsil RS Pura, today to attend the problems of the Ex-servicemen, widows, war widows and their dependents.
A large number of Ex-servicemen, widows, war widows and their next of kin from far-flung areas had gathered there to get redressed their issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Kotwal briefed the gathering on various concessions and welfare schemes being extended by the Central and State Government for the welfare of the Ex-servicemen, widows and their dependents.
He also informed the gathering that on demise of the Ex-servicemen, NOK of the deceased Ex-servicemen are entitled Rs 5000 from the nearest Station Headquarters out of CSD canteen as Assured Decent last rites scheme in addition to other financial aids like demise grant of Rs 1000 from State, Rs 5000 from KSB and Rs 5000 from respective Record Office.
Kotwal also explained various queries raised by the ESM.
