SAMBA, Feb 19: Zila Sainik Welfare Officer (ZSWO), Col (Retd) JDS Kotwal, today visited tehsil Bishnah along with his office staff to attend the problems of Ex-Servicemen (ESM), widows, war widows and their next of kin.
Col (Retd) Kotwal apprised the gathering of ESMs, widows, war widows and their next of kin of revised schemes and welfare measures being extended by the Central as well as State Government. The latest orders on ‘One Rank and One Pension’ was also explained in detailed to the gathering.
The gathering was also informed regarding in principle approval of J&K Government for enhancing the Militia relief. On spot payment of demise grant was made to the eligible widows. Besides, all other general enquiries of the ESMs and widows were clarified on the spot.
