RAJOURI, June 28: Apni Party vice president and former Cabinet minister Choudhary Zulfikar Ali has asked the Party leaders and workers to gear-up for upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir.
Addressing a convention of the Party delegates at Taryath, Zulfikar Ali said that the Party leaders and workers should work among the people and resolve their issues by highlighting them before the authorities. He stressed upon the workers to prepare themselves for upcoming Assembly elections in J&K in order to defeat the nefarious design of the anti-social elements which are hell bent to destroy social fabric among the society.
He further stated that the Apni Party under the leadership of Syed Altaf Bukhari is working tirelessly for the betterment, honour and dignity of the people of J&K. He criticized the State Administration for neglecting the backward areas and the remote areas on the developmental fronts.
Zulfikar also stressed upon the LG Administration to provide adequate relief and compensation to the nomadic population whose livestock have been perished or washed away in the unseasonal rains/snowfall in Pir Panjal area. He also expressed concern over the slow pace of developmental works initiated by the previous Governments and growing unemployment in the Region.
On the occasion, the Party leaders and workers unanimously elected Ex-Sarpanch, Thakur Baldev Singh as block president of Apni Party for the Ghai Bass Block.
