Zulfkar convenes review meeting of district officers at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, May 16: Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution and Tribal Affairs, Ch. Zulfkar Ali chaired a review meeting of all district officers here today.
Minister of State for Finance and IT, Pawan Kumar Gupta was also present.
Threadbare discussions were held on various issues which mainly include physical and financial achievements for 2014-15 under district plan, progress of CSS, socio economic conditions of the tribal population in the district and working of Gujjar & Bakerwal Hostel and Supply position of CA&PD foodgrains.
Addressing the officers, Minister said that Government is committed to provide corruption free, transparent and accountable administration to the people of the state. He asked the officers to work with added zeal, dedication, sincerity and help to strengthen the democratic fabric of the state. He added that Government is committed to provide basic facilities and good governance to the people.
Minister directed DDC Udhampur Yasha Mudgal to identify the critical gaps and to make a comprehensive plan for the development of tribal people. He asked DDC to put main focus on infrastructure for ST people and directed DC to identity the state land for the construction of Gujjar and Bhakerwals hostel and girl residential school in the district.
He also asked DC to identity the state land for the construction of the office for Legal Metrology Department and CA&PD at Udhampur. Minister gave directions to the DDC to dispose of the rotten ration of CAPD soon and asked the SE PMGSY to expedite the construction works in roads without compromising with the quality of material in the district. He asked DDC to complete the rationalization of teachers within ten days and send the teachers to the schools where they are required the most.
Minister asked the DDC to identify the additional AAY, APL, BPL families as per 2011 census and directed AD CAPD to ensure board display by each ration dealer in the district. He also released Rs. one crore for clearing the pending carriage liability in the district.
Later, the CAPD Minister inspected G&B hostel at Udhampur and directed the management to renovate the damaged areas. He also visited Gaddi Sippi Hostel and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officers to complete the construction work soon without compromising with quality of material.
Earlier, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal gave a brief over view of the developmental activities of the district through power point presentation.
Among others, MLA Chenani, Dina Nath Bhagat and MLA Ramnagar, R.S Pathania , Director CAPD, G.S Chib, ADDC, Ajay Singh Jamwal, ADC,. Angrez Singh Rana, Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, SSP, Suleman Chowdhary, sectoral and district officers attended the meeting.
