RAJOURI, Aug 28: Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and Tribal Affairs, Ch. Zulfkar Ali today said that CA&PD Department is being streamlined. He said department is also working on updating the figures of ration card holders across various categories.
The Minister said this while addressing a large public gathering at Dak bungalow here.
Highlighting the achievements of Government including approval of 123 kanal land for establishment of medical college at Rajouri, sanctioning of Rs 76 crore for Budhal-Khwas road and inauguration of ANS canal project, the Minister said that Government is committed to bring visible change on ground so that development and welfare benefits accrue to the people.
The Minister also reviewed the sector wise financial progress registered under various development works in district Rajouri in a meeting of officers.
The Minister directed the officers to ensure expeditious execution of development works and stressed on achieving optimum results for development of core sectors in the district. He underscored the need for focused attention on improvement of road connectivity, drinking water, power supply, education and health care facilities across the district.
Earlier, District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat gave power point presentation regarding sector wise expenditure being incurred by different departments.
